
《 Focaccia with garlic and rosemary 》
We had a go at making focaccia for the primary time on the weekend. I believe now we have a lot room for enchancment nevertheless it’s good to share the highs and lows of our residence cooking proper?! 😄

There are lots of (virtually too many!) recipes to select from on-line, we went with gennarocontaldo’s bbcfood garlic and rosemary focaccia. 🍞

For the dough, we mixed robust white flour with yeast and salt. We poured 350ml of lukewarm water in a jug and step by step added the water to the dry combine to type a dough. We hand kneaded the dough for 15 minutes then transferred onto an oiled bowl, masking with cling movie and leaving to rise for 30 minutes. 🥖

As soon as the dough had proved we positioned it onto a lined and barely warmed baking tray. Drizzled with olive oil and topped with recent rosemary, chopped garlic, sea salt and just a little pepper. 🧄

The recipe instructs you to press your fingers into the dough to make dimples after which relaxation once more for one more 30 minutes. Our dough was a bit flat and didn’t bounce again as a lot as we’d hoped at this stage! 🫓

We positioned the bread in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 240C. The consequence was golden brown however considerably missing flavour. Would like to get your focaccia ideas beneath! ⬇️
