
《 Olio on the Inexperienced 》
Throwback to a different week off eating deal with in close by village Writtle. We cycled from Chelmsford and arrived in a fluster because it was a damp day! A cool glass of white wine sorted us out while we pursued the menu. 🍾
Every little thing sounded nice! Particularly the specials which included burrata, recent fish dishes and a T-bone steak. I used to be intrigued by the Formaggio Di Pecora starter, baked goat’s cheese with caramelised apricot and honey orange. Served with rocket leaves, it tasted scrumptious. 🍊
Stew selected the comfortable shell child crab to start out which was deep dried in tempura and served with a candy chilli sauce. For primary, he had the Fish Stew with king prawns, salmon, scallops, calamari and mussels. Cooked in a tomato and chilli sauce, it got here with a portion of bread – very tasty certainly! 🦀
I went for the Linguine allo Scoglio with recent crab meat, king prawns, chilli, lemon, garlic and parsley. It was a spicy seafood infused pasta which I liked! 🦐
Sadly we have been too full for pudding however liked our first go to to olio_on_the_green. We’ll positively be again! 🍝
